The move will be completed on July 1st, after his contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of June. He had joined los Merengues in 2010 after the World Cup.

Sami Khedira's future has been solved and he will spend the next four years of his career playing for the Serie A champions, Juventus. The Italian club announced the move on Tuesday and added that everything would be set and done by July 1st, the day after his current contract with Real Madrid expires.

Khedira had a last season to forget with Real Madrid in which injuries and a lack of confidence from Carlo Ancelotti only allowed him to play in 17 games throughout the season (all competitions included). The 27-year-old German midfielder had joined Madrid in 2010 after a successful World Cup in South Africa.

The reconstruction process starts with Khedira

"Khedira, who is normally deployed in front of the defence as a ball-winning midfielder, is able to cover a lot of ground while also possessing excellent passing and shooting ability, and great vision of the game," read a statement issued by Juventus.

Since the transfer would be done once his contract with Los Merengues, his transfer fee would be waived. The statement did not say how much the contract is worth, but it is expected to be around the 20,00 Mill. € and 25,00 Mill. €.

This will be Khedira's first time playing in Italy. He was raised as a Stuttgart player the whole time before moving to Spain. With Madrid, he won plenty of titles including La Liga, two Spanish Cup titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2014. That same summer, Khedira was part of Germany's World Cup champions team.
