It will be a long night in Sevilla, and they are entitled to celebrate in style. Los Sevillanos were able to defeat Dnipro in the Europa League final in order to become the most winning side in the tournament's history. Furthermore, their victory will give Unai Emery's side the chance to play in the next edition of the UEFA Champions League, as an added bonus for their win.
As incredible as it may seem , Sevilla is the first team in European football history to win EVERY final match they have played, winning this title in 2006,2007, 2014 and today. Carlos Bacca was key to his team's success, scoring a clinical brace when things got tough for the team dressed in red. After overcoming an early goal by Kalinic, Krychowiak and Bacca scored before the first half ended, giving Emery's men the chance to handle the game. Ruslan Rotan equalized for the Ukrainian team, and the stage was set for Bacca to work his magic by nailing the game-winning goal with 17 minutes to go.
2 - The last three players to score a brace in a EL final have all been South American (Forlan 2010, Falcao 2012, Bacca 2015). Trio.

An emotional Carlos Bacca sheds tears of joy after Sevilla's win.
Sevilla have played 34 EL games in the past 2 seasons whilst finishing 5th in La Liga. Now they're in the CL. It's an amazing achievement.

@sidlowe remember Bacca being practically written off as overweight and a flop just a few weeks after arriving in European football (Brügge)

Sevilla sold Navas, Negredo & Kondogbia year before winning the EL last year. Sold Rakitic & Fazio last. Monchi, the genius, does it again.

Sevilla's win also proves that Spanish football is still very much the best in the world. Best league, best teams, best overall quality.

Are there any teams in the past decade better at maximising value on best players yet remaining consistently competitive? #Sevilla
