Xavi is most likely to announce his departure for Qatar on Thursday. They were together when Spain won the World Cup in 2010.

Three more games with Barcelona seems everything that is left for Xavi as he prepares to leave the club that he joined since his days as a youth academy player. At the age of 35, Xavi is expecting to retire playing in Qatar. Xavi has been a part of eight La Liga titles since his debut with the senior team in 1998.

Many players are speaking highly about their captain before he leaves. Andres Iniesta, a player with who he has shared countless triumphs and experiences, was among those to say how much his partner means in and outside the field.

"I can't say enough about him. I can see nobody that can match him both as a player and a person. The figures, the years, the feelings, his way of doing things are simply indescribable."

Both players are icons in Barcelona. It is impossible not to think about them when you hear the name of the team. Los Cules were the base of the Spanish National Team that won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. While Xavi was an important piece of the team, Iniesta scored the goal that gave Spain the title.

"He is a unique and unrepeatable player who has been fundamental for Barça and the national team. It's a real pleasure and privilege to have had my whole career by his side."

Now Barcelona can look forward to sending off their captain with one more treble. After clinching the club's 23rd La Liga title, the team can focus on their game against Athletic Bilbao and Juventus in the Spanish Cup and the Champions League finals respectively.

"We have celebrated the first one. It was very important for us and for the people. La Liga is very important", Iniesta said. "We are at a good moment. We could do it (win the treble)."
