The Czech custodian’s future at Stamford Bridge has been thrown into further uncertainty after recent comments by his agent.

Much uncertainty surrounds the future of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, but the clues more and more point towards an end to his 11-year career with the Blues.

The goalkeeper’s agent further sparked Stamford Bridge exit rumors with his recent comments in which he claims his client has been handed permission to talk with other clubs over a transfer.

Speaking to TalkSport, his agent Viktor Kolar stated:

"Petr still has a contract that ends in a year.

"I can confirm, however, that we have been permitted by Chelsea to negotiate with interested parties."

"Petr has confirmed his interest to play regularly at a top club. That's the task that we are now working on, but other than that there has not been any other change in terms of Petr Cech's employment and the transfer period only begins on 1 July."

Reports suggest that the 32-year-old shot stopper, having lost his spot between the sticks to Thibaut Courtois, could either switch to London neighbors Arsenal, or move abroad, a smarter option for Chelsea, and join Ligue 1 giants PSG.

Petr Cech, Chelsea, UEFA Champions League

A move abroad appears to be the likely outcome, with manager Jose Mourinho openly confessing he would prefer to see Cech move abroad than join a rival. However, the Special One did express his desire to see Petr remain with the Blues.

"Without Petr this season, I don't think the club would be champions because he played six important matches in the Premier League and without these points we probably wouldn't be champions," argued the Chelsea boss.

"So for me, decision number one: Petr will stay. After that, second point to go but not in England. The option I don't want is for him to go to an English club."
