Karl Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern's director, revealed the Polish striker will not miss the match against Los Blaugranas after coming down with an injury vs Dortmund.

Pep Guardiola will have one of his key players available for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Barcelona. According to the team's director, Karl Heinz Rummenigge, Robert Lewandowski will not miss the match between the Bavarians and Los Blaugranas, even after sufferinng a nose and jaw fracture against Borussia Dortmund.

"I'm absolutely convinced he will play against Barcelona. Right now, our doctors are preparing a special mask for him, so he will be able to perform in that game," Rummenigge stated.

The Polish striker was tackled by Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Mitchell Langerak while he was aiming to clear the ball from his box. Lewandowski left the game with a suspected concussion, but further tests revealed the player had a broken jaw and nose.

Lewandowski leaves the pitch with Bayern's doctors after colliding with the Australian shot-stopper.

Bayern has been struggling all year with injuries to some of their top players, including Arjen Robben, David Alaba, Javi Martinez and Holger Badstuber. Furthermore, French midfielder Franck Ribery is under medical surveillance, but Rummenigge believes he will be in the squad to face the current La Liga leaders.

"Our doctors are working with him day in and day out, and I have good feelings about him. I'm sure he will be fit to be among the 18 men that face Barcelona, if not as a starter, he will be able to be in the bench," the exec added.

Bayern will face Barcelona at Camp Nou Stadium on May 6th, hosting the second leg of the series on May 12th at Allianz Arena.
