On Wednesday night, Monaco hosted Serie A holders Juventus at the Stade Louis II looking to overturn the 1-0 deficit inflicted on them in the 1st leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Ligue 1 giants needed only a goal to push the game into extra time and salvage hopes of making the semis. And in the first minute of the game, this nearly occurred.
That is, if it wasn’t for an unbelievable Giorgio Chiellini handball. The Italian defender, however, was only making amends for his blunder, having slipped and leaving Joao Moutinho in on goal.
But the Juventus ace used his hands to stop play, thwart Monaco’s chances of leveling the game, and only got a booking for this mischievous act.

The clash ended 0-0, in favor of the Old Lady, who now book their spot in the last 4. Monaco, on the other hand, bow out of the tournament, having surprised many and winning over the critics with impressive displays along the campaign.
