Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns to Barcelona wanting to surprise his former team in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. Before he steps into the pitch, the Swedish striker wants Messi, Suarez, Neymar and the rest of Barcelona to be ready for
The same player that said that the World Cup would be nothing without him and that claimed that PSG was too good to play in France wants to make a statement at Camp Nou. It was a place he called home for one year, but now, he is not interested in making things easy for his former team.
His time at Barcelona was short livedZlatan has won many titles with the six teams he's been a part of. Probably the only one he still dreams to claim is the Champions League. It may seem almost impossible to do so this year with Barcelona leading three goals to one after the first leg. But don't dare to tell Zlatan it is impossible.
"Football isn't something you plan in advance. It just happens," Zlatan
He is known for scoring goals in every way possible, but he is mostly known for his ego. Prior to the game against a team that could be considered the best there is right now, he believes Barcelona will be in awe of him with Messi included.
Even though the Argentinian will be Zlatan's rival this Tuesday, the 33-year-old player would like to have him on his team if he was the one to decide along with Thierry Henry and Alessandro del Piero. Zlatan already scored in the Camp Nou during the group stage, but now has to score three or at least help in the process to knock Barcelona out of the competition.
Zlatan would have Messi in his ideal XI
That is something that seems very hard to do with the way Los Cules are playing at the moment. PGS'S manager Laurent Blanc is aware of that and is the first one to recognize the numbers and circumstances do not favor the French side.
"We cannot afford to concede goals and this here is practically impossible," Blanc said. "All teams that play here in Europe concede at least one."
