Everton's goalkeeper Tim Howard took some time off from playing with his team to get a chance and experience what Everton's wheelchair team is all about. He joined them for a training session at Croxteth Training Center last week.
Howard was hands-on during his time with the Everton with the Community team. He started by greeting the players and then joined in on the practice drills. Out of the 13 teams in the program, the United States international player joined the team currently sitting third In the WFA National League in the Championship Division.
He had his own wheelchair waiting for him when the practice began. Then he tried to learn as much as possible with some short skills and shooting practice drills. When it was time to simulate a game, Howard went back to being the goalie, just as he does when he is with the Toffees' Premier League team.

Howard was impressed by the skill
"It's been great for me to come out and see not just what Everton in the Community does but to also be a part of it and lend a helping hand."
