It seemed like Bayern's worst nightmares were put together in one game. With a surprising midfield display, FC Porto beat the odds and gave Bayern a reality check, handing them a 3-1 loss that leaves the German side in serious danger of not making the semi-finals. Quaresma's brace and a late goal by Jackson Martinez kept the Portuguese side's unbeaten streak going, while Guardiola may be wondering if it was such a good idea to start Xabi Alonso and Dante.

Karma attacked Bayern in the first minutes of the game, having a penalty kick awarded for Porto just after two minutes. Quaresma scored his first goal after deceiving Neuer, and scored his brace with only ten minutes on the clock. Bayern bounced back thanks to Thiago's goal, but when things seemed to be aligning for Bayern's equalizer, Jackson Martinez netted the ball after Jerome Boateng's gruesome error.

If Bayern wants to earn a spot among the UEFA Champions League final four teams, then they will have to beat their own history. The Bavarian side has won a two-legged series after losing the first game by a two-goal margin, losing four times while facing this scenario.
