Madrid presented the appeal shortly after the game and the decision was announced Friday morning. Bale will not play due to a muscular problem

Real Madrid has won their appeal and Cristiano Ronaldo is clear to play on Saturday against Eibar. The decision was announced this morning prior to Madrid's press conference at Valdebebas.

The RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) Competition Commitee has upheld the appeal submitted by Real Madrid against the yellow card shown to Cristiano Ronaldo in the match against Rayo Vallecano, agreeing to "rescind the caution imposed on the player by the referee," was what was written on the official statement.

The good news was shared on Twitter

Ronaldo was booked for diving inside the box while instant replay showed he had no intention of doing so. It was his fifth yellow card, which carried an automatic suspension. Carlo Ancelotti wasn’t happy after the game and he made that clear.

"I told the referee that I thought it was unbelievable not to give a penalty when he instead called it the other way," Ancelotti said.

The play happened just before Ronaldo scored his 300th goal with Real Madrid. The Portuguese striker is currently third on the list of Madrid’s best goal scorers of all times behind Alfredo Di Stefano and Raul Gonzalez Blanco.

Nothing has been done regarding a possible sanction to his celebration in that same game. After he scored, some people claim Ronaldo shouted “robbery” towards the linesman, but that will apparently go unpunished.

Ronaldo expressed some anger while celebratring his goal against RayoBesides his yellow card, his controversial celebration should not carry any consequences

We need Ronaldo for Saturday, as it is an important day. We have great respect for Eibar and we cannot fail. We need the best starting XI possible available to us," Madrid’s manager claimed.

That starting XI won’t have Gareth Bale in it, nor is he expected to even go to the bench. The Welshman’s latest medical exams show he has an overload and should rest this weekend. The Italian mastermind hopes Bale is back for Atletico’s game next week.

Also James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos will miss the game against Eibar. Their yellow cards against Rayo were not appealed and their one-game suspensions stand.
