Marcelo Palau (Guaraní - Racing)

The home side managed to beat Racing 2-0, increasing their chances of making it to the final 16 teams. Marcelo Palau had much to do with his sides' win, after scoring a fantastic goal from outside the box. Now, the Paraguayans will play for their ticket to the next round against Sporting Cristal.

Abdon Reyes (San José vs Juan Aurich)

San José complicated Juan Aurich's chances of making it to the next round by drawing their match 1-1. Abdon Reyes magnificent strike may end up costing too much for the Peruvians, who will now have to play for their spot in the Round of 16 against group leader Tigres from Mexico.

Giorgian de Arrascaeta (Cruzeiro vs Mineros)

Cruzeiro climbed to the first place of their group by beating Venezuelan club Mineros. A great bicycle kick by Giorgian de Arrascaeta gave the home side enough confidence to score twice more, and his skillful definition did not go unnoticed.

Rodrigo Mora (Tigres - River Plate)

History repeated itself when Tigres and River Plate met. The home side took the lead on both games against Los Millonarios, but they were unable to hold the lead against them. This time, Tigres saw their lead cancelled after this stoppage time beauty by Rodrigo Mora, who kept River's chances alive. Now, the Argentinians need to win against San José, hoping that Tigres defeats Juan Aurich for them to make it through.
