Although they have played a game more than Chelsea, the gap between the Gunners and Jose Mourinho's side is a paltry seven points. The gap between Arsenal and second placed City is a mere one point. If the Gunners continue their recent form, the last match-days of the season might offer some brilliant drama.
The Gunners are coming into this match without captain Mikel Arteta, perpetually injured Abou Diaby, French defender Matthieu Debuchy, lightning-fast winger Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and the new member of the first team squad, Gabriel Paulista. Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky are both doubtful for this one. For Newcastle, Siem de Jong, Cheick Tioite, Mehdi Abeid, Steven Taylor, Paul Dummett, Rolando Aarons and Robert Elliot are out injured. Two members of the squad are also suspended in Papiss Cisse and Fabricio Coloccini. Massadio Haidara is doubtful for this one.
