The former Chelsea player has been one of the stars in this Bundesliga season, raising interest among some of the top teams in Europe.

After just one year of leaving Chelsea, Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne could be making a comeback to the English Premier League, with the current Vfl Wolfsburg star set to join Manchester City.

De Bruyne's form during his stint with the green and white outfit this season has been rather surprising, considering he left Chelsea with not so kind words by former coach Jose Mourinho. De Bruyne has scored 14 goals and served 23 assists in all competitions, being a key element in the team's performance this year, ranking second in the Bundesliga.

De Bruyne was key to his team's performance last week, scoring twice and assisting for another goal in Wolfsburg's 3-1 win over Inter Milan.

Manchester City's director of football Txiki Begiristain will get a closer look at De Bruyne this Thursday, when the German team faces Inter for the second leg of their Europa League matchup. Sources in England have stated that the Citizens would be preparing a £35 million offer for the player's services, although Wolfsburg are not keen on selling one of their top performers this year.

If the Sky Blues fail in their intentions of snatching De Bruyne off from Germany, Paris Saint-Germain would also be interested in signing the player, once they settle their financial fair play struggles with UEFA.
