The striker, on loan from Houston Dynamo, came off the bench to boost Guadalajara's chances of keeping their spot in the Mexican top flight.

The tenth week of Mexico's Clausura 2015 tournament had fans in the edge of their seats, delivering quite a few interesting matches for their viewing pleasure. From Friday to Sunday, all sorts of emotions filled Liga MX's stadiums, including those that came from Tijuana and Morelia on Friday, while Saturday had America and Chivas bagging three points for their particular causes. What were the highlights of this weekend's games? Here's a quick roundup.

Leones Negros leave the bottom of the relegation board

Three weeks ago, it seemed that Leones Negros were just waiting to be euthanised, but after their shocking victory over America, Alfonso Sosa's team has collected nothing but victories. On Friday night, a goal by Ecuador's Fidel Martinez gave the Guadalajara-based team its third win in a row against Morelia with a brilliant header during the earlier minutes of the game. Leones Negros need six more points to secure their spot in Mexico's top flight next year, with seven games to be played.

Juan Arango's GOLAZO against Veracruz confirms Tijuana's first place

In one of the most anticipated matches this weekend, Tijuana's Xolos took care of business against second place Veracruz. With goals by Alfredo Moreno, Juan Arango and Gabriel Hauche, the current league leaders broadened their lead over Los Tiburones, who lost their nine week unbeaten streak. Tijuana's second goal, courtesy of the former Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder, should be watched over and over to learn how a free kick should be taken.

Chivas come from behind against Puebla in their battle for survival

Guadalajara arrived to this match as the underdog, having lost their previous match against Queretaro in the game's last gasp, and facing Puebla, who were displaying top football in their most recent outings. The hosts took the lead thanks to Luis Gabriel Rey's penalty, but Erick Torres' off-the-bench brace provided El Rebaño with a crucial win, giving them a five-point lead over Puebla in the relegation standings.
