At least four teams were economically benefited by Osasuna prior to their games. Betis was apparently paid for three games.

The numbers are still not set in stone, but it is becoming clear that many of Osasuna’s results between 2012 and 2014 were worth much more than just points. Ex-Osasuna director Ángel Vizcay said that each of the games in question were valued in thousands of euros.

Cadena Ser revealed this information, when they were able to gain access to the lawsuit files on the Spain’s Professional Football League (LFP). The investigation on course is regarding alleged crimes of corruption and embezzlement.

It all began when the board of directors that currently is in charge of Osasuna filed a lawsuit to find 2.4 million taken from the club’s coffers. They filed on February 19 at Pamplona.

The declaration by Vizcay reads that Osasuna offered money to Valladolid, Betis and Getafe during the 2013-13 season. But that’s not all, Espanyol and Betis were also paid to favor Osasuna in the 2013-14 season.

They gave Betis and Valladolid €150,00 each. To buy the game result against Getafe they had to pay €400,000. To rig the score against Espanyol, they spent €250,000. Finally, Betis was paid again €650,000 to favor Osasuna in the last two games of the season.
