Manchester United will try to bounce back from their disappointed draw against Fulham when they host West Ham United in Saturday's late kick-off in the English Premier League. In the meantime, two of their non-first team players keep dreaming about their chances to become regular faces for the Red Devils.

Tom Cleverley, Manchester United player.Manchester United's reserve side defeated Manchester City 3-1 in a reserve fixture on Tuesday night. Youngster Tom Cleverley played a starring role as he continued to perform well so as to impress Ferguson and thus break into Manchester United’s starting XI. The 20-year-old England U-21 international spoke to MUTV after his side’s victory over City, saying:

“All I can do is to keep playing to my top performance level when I play, whether it’s for the reserves or for the first team. As long as I keep doing that, hopefully, the manager will see that I am doing well. Then, I’ll get a couple of chances here and there."

Tom Cleverley is not the only player that wants to break in Manchester United’s first XI. This summer’s most unexpected signing, Bébé, also dreams of making an impact at Old Trafford. When asked about his intentions as a Red Devil following his miraculous switch from the streets as an orphan to professional football, the former Vitoria Guimaraes striker explained:

Bebe, Manchester United player

“To come to a team like Manchester United is a dream come true for any player. The Portuguese factor at Old Trafford was a motivation for me.

“You’ve got very big names like Cristiano Ronaldo who has played here and is now a very big player. Nani and Anderson are also still at the club. I want to become like them and I will work hard to become a top quality player.”

Unfortunately for Bébé, his under-par performances during training for Manchester United saw his name ruled out even for the reserve side. He consequently missed the opportunity to get some playing time with Anderson who is racing for fitness and reserve play Tom Cleverley on Tuesday night.

Both Cleverley and Bébé are 20 years of age. However, whereas the English lad looks on his way to joining Javier Hernandez, Ryan Giggs, and the rest in Manchester United’s first XI, Bébé certainly needs to grow.

Manchester United will clash against West Ham United in the English Premier League this weekend and both players are expected to be out of Sir Alex Ferguson’s man-squad. The Red Devils threw away three precious points and had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Fulham on match-day two of the English Premier League. They now need to bounce back with a victory as they aim to keep up pace with locomotive goal poachers Chelsea who count maximum points and a (+12) goal difference.
