The on-loan Arsenal striker continues to struggle since making a move to Italy this past January.

Suffice it to say, Lukas Podolski has not had the best start to 2015.

The Arsenal striker, who was part of Germany's World Cup winning squad last summer, was sent out on loan to Inter during this winter's transfer window. The deal was supposed to be a win-win for all sides involved: for the player, an opportunity to get more playing time, and for the club, some more firepower as they hope to push for a European football spot next season.

However, things have not gone as planned. Not only has he yet to find the back of the net for the Nerazzurri as they again struggle to break into the top five, but also was left out of the team's Europa League squad after failing to impress new coach Roberto Mancini.

Yesterday, Inter welcomed Fiorentina, who also brought in a Premier League player--Chelsea's Mohamed Salah--on loan as they also chase a top five finish for this season. The match was eventually settled in favor of the Viola, with Salah's second half goal enough to give Vincenzo Montella's men a much-needed three points to further strenghthen their grip on fifth place.

However, earlier in the half, the hosts were given a corner kick opportunity, only to see Podolski shockingly butcher it, even striking the corner flag in his attempt to get it onto the pitch.

Not a game he will remember too fondly: Watch Podolski's awful corner kick attempt (VINE)

With Inter currently sitting in ninth place, and Mancini's patience wearing thin, the 29-year-old will obviously hope to really get up and running in his remaining two months in Italy.
