Just when Arsenal fans had started dreaming about their chances to win the UEFA Champions League, French side Monaco brought them back to earth with a 3-1 win at Emirates Stadium.
Geoffrey Kondogbia scored after 38 minutes for the French squad just before the break, while Dimitar Berbatov made it 2-0 after putting to good use an assist by Anthony Martial. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gave some hope for the Gunners after his late goal, but seconds later Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco re-established the two goal advantage for Leonardo Jardim's crew, and practically setting the table for another tragic end to Arsenal's European hopes.
As usual, fans blamed their preferred target when they lose: none other than Arsene Wenger. This time, Le Prof's tactics were harshly criticized due to his decision of starting Mesut Özil, a player that usually disappears when it comes to crucial matches. Arsenal will need to score three goals without conceding against Monaco, who can give away two goals and still make it to the next stage.

For real though stop blaming Arsene Wenger. Arsenal played poorly and there was no fluency. Poor performance from every player.

Wenger has a job for life. Not sure why people still think his job is ever under threat. As long as they are top 4 his bosses are happy.

Did Wenger do his usual flounce down the tunnel without shaking hands like it's someone else's fault?
