Plus, Laurent Blanc advises the Swedish striker against removing his shirt and showcasing his new body art in the clash with the Blues.

Paris Saint-Germain, one of Europe's most feared side, have won it all ever since Qatar Sports Investments takeover back in 2011. The French giants have lifted Ligue 1 twice, in consecutive seasons, from 2012 to 2014, and clinched the Coupe de la Liga last season.

However, one major trophy continues to evade Les Parisiens' cabinet; the UEFA Champions League.

The club have spent millions in search of European glory, recruiting numerous amounts of talent to help their push for the Champions League trophy, from the likes of Thiago Silva to Edinson Cavani, but have come up short every season.

Making their return to the competition in 2012 after a long absence, PSG crashed out in the quarter-finals in the last two seasons at the hands of Barcelona and Chelsea, respectively.

This term, Laurent Blanc's crew will face the Blues once more, but in the round of 16. Ahead of their tie on Tuesday, star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has pleaded with all the fans to get behind the team for the Parc des Princes encounter.

The charismatic Swede sent out a video message to the PSG faithful, saying: “We need all the support we can get and with you we will become even stronger so I’ll see you Tuesday. I’ll see you guys in Parc des Princes so let’s do this.”

This move by the 33-year-old former AC Milan forward comes after he grabbed media attention for showing off fifty new tattoos on his body after scoring against Caen, on Saturday.

According to the player himself, the eye-catching body work is in dedication to 50 out of the 805 million people suffering from hunger. Revealing the tattoos in a goal celebration, Ibrahimovic was eventually booked and will now miss their next Ligue 1 game.

Coach Laurent Blanc has now urged Zlatan not to repeat his actions if he was to find the back of the net against Chelsea, claiming he wishes not to see the Swede in risk of being sent off in such an important fixture.

“I was aware of his commitment to the foundation, but personally I didn’t know that he’d had several names tattooed on him,” Blanc stated.

“If it was to show his tattoos then it worked because it made the front page of every website in the world, so in that sense it was very successful for him and for the foundation. But it cost us a yellow card.”

“Imagine if the game had become more heated and that he’d got a second yellow card. The game would have been over for us. I don’t know if taking his shirt off was a good thing.”

“I hope if he scores tomorrow, he won’t remove his shirt because he’ll get another yellow card”
