Currently in the Europa League, Inter Milan still hold aspirations of participating in Europe next season. With the Champions League unlikely, the Nerazzurri have set their sights on nonetheless hoping to feature in the Europa League for the upcoming 2015/2016 campaign. However, they have lost three out of their last four games in all competitions, and despite beating Palermo 3-0 in their recent match, their away form has been less than impressive.

Prior to being dispatched in the Coppa Italia by Napoli thanks to a late goal from Gonzalo Higuain, Roberto Mancini's side were still reeling after a shock loss to Sassuolo. The Neroverdi, for the first time in their history not only finally scored past the Milan giants but also did not do so in a fashion many would have expected: grabbing a goal and then hunker down for the rest of the match.

No, rather, Inter were outplayed and outclassed in a great performance from Eusebio Di Francesco's men and will now hope to get the better of their opponents in their upcoming game tomorrow.

Currently tied with cross-town rivals AC Milan and Sassuolo on 29 points but ahead on goals difference, Inter will really want to earn three points against the 'other' Nerazzurri, who have also struggled so far this season. Lukas Podolski, who was signed on loan from Arsenal this past January has failed to hit the ground running since arriving in Italy and was left out of the team's Europa League squad.

The German international will surely be keen on trying to finally earn his first Serie A goal. Meanwhile, Mauro Icardi, who has had a difficult relationship with the team's fans as of late, will usually be the one to start alongside Podolski and would have hoped to add more to his tally against Stefano Colantuono’s side. However, the young Argentine--like quite a few players as of late--is reportedly suffering from flu and so will not be taking to the pitch.

However, despite boasting one of the worst attacks in the league so far--with just 19 goals--La Dea did defeat the Rossoneri last month by a narrow 1-0 score-line and would definitely enjoy doing the same to Milan's other big club. And whilst their attack has been blunt, given that they are uncomfortably close to making a return to Serie B, they will definitely do their all to frustrate the visitors in the hopes of at least securing a draw.

Whilst a stalemate would be good for the hosts, it would be highly detrimental for the visitors. Expect Inter to throw all their efforts into departing Bergamo with a vital victory in hand, but it will be interesting to see how their 16th placed opponents attempt to thwart them on Sunday afternoon.
