The 24-year-old Croatian spoke to the Evening Standard as gave his thoughts on Spurs’ agenda and their upcoming match at the Britannia Stadium:

“To go away twice in four days… that’s football. You can’t choose the games or where you play. Some other teams struggle. But, I hope we play well.

“We have big qualities to play in the Champions League and we will show that this season. It’s a very physical challenge at Stoke like always, but we know that. We beat them last year, and I think we can do it again this year.”

Actually, Tottenham Hotspur need to adapt to their new agenda which will include more games and trips around England and Europe should they qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stages. On Saturday, their potential to cope with fatigue will be tested by Tony Pulis’ resilient Stoke City team.

Last weekend, Tottenham Hotspur opened their English Premier League account with a 0-0 draw against Manchester City at White Hart Lane. Meanwhile, Stoke City lost 2-1 away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
