The Reds will visit the Emirates Stadium this Sunday and will need to drastically improve one aspect of their game, according to their manager.

Liverpool are gearing up for one of their toughest test of the season and ahead of that fixture, Jurgen Klopp has issued his players a serious – but also hilarious – warning.

The Reds will be in action on Sunday, with the struggling Merseyside giants taking on none other than Arsenal in Matchweek 10. The Gunners are currently top of the table, having beaten Tottenham 3-1 in the recent North London Derby, and were described by Guardiola as being the only team better than Man City this season.

With seven wins out of eight games, Arteta's men boast 21 points, one more than Pep's rampant Cityzens. On the other hand, Liverpool have played seven times and triumphed only twice, leaving them a whopping 11 points behind the North London giants.

As a result, defeat at the Emirates Stadium would leave Salah and Co. an astonishing 14 points behind the current league leaders, making this a do-or-die fixture for the Reds.

And with that showdown fast approaching, Jurgen has issued a message to his men: we must defend better. It is a statement of resonance to the Anfield fans as Liverpool's defensive numbers have drastically dropped this term, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk coming under scrutiny for their drop in form. In addition, Arsenal boast the second-best attack in the league, scoring 20 goals so far, a figure bested by only Man City (29).

"We need consistency to get the rubbish out of everything," the German boss said, as per the Sun

"We have to get to where we're outstanding again.

"We have to defend the s*** out of everything — that's why I say the word 'rubbish'."

Jurgen is currently celebrating his seven-year anniversary at Anfield, with the former Dortmund boss having led the English giants to a UEFA Champions League title, the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup crowns, and–most importantly–their first Premier League trophy in history.

Despite this, the 55-year-old claims his side are a working progress. Nonetheless, Klopp remains adamant that his team will get past this shaky moment.

"We have to find a way and we are still a work in progress to do it. You want a solution and you want it clicking mentally," he added.

"We have to get through the tunnel and see the light again and I'd be optimistic about that."
