Opening up about his release clause, Ronaldo's agent claims that no one can compare to the 29-year-old Real Madrid attacker.

He may be under contract until June of 2018, but this has not stopped rumors linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move away from La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The Portuguese star and former Manchester United attacker has long been tipped with a mega-money return to Old Trafford, a place where he spent six successful years, winning eight major trophies.

The 29-year-old attacker's agent, however, has repeatedly denied that a Real Madrid exit is in the working, and has now reiterated once again Ronaldo's desire to finish his career at the Bernabeu. Despite this, Jorge Mendes insists that clubs would be willing to pay up to €300m to acquire his services if Los Blancos decided on selling the three-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4, the Super Agent revealed that the player's release clause is worth a whopping €1bn, whilst also hailing Cristiano as “the best player ever in the world”, claiming no one can compare to the Real Madrid number 7.

"He's the most expensive player ever in the world, because Ronaldo is the best player ever in the world, the best sportsman ever," Mendes stated. "You can't compare him to anyone.

When asked about Ronaldo's valuation, Mendes responded: "Cristano Ronaldo? One billion. His buyout clause one billion, so it is one billion. It is impossible to buy someone like him. If for any reason the club decide to sell him tomorrow for 300 million, someone will pay."

"He loves the Man United supporters, he told me, he started there, but he will not leave Real Madrid."
