The player will be joining the Blues with a four and a half year contract. Fiorentina will get Mohamed Salah as part of the deal.

After one week of negotiations, Colombian wingman Juan Cuadrado signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the current Premier League leaders, who will be paying Fiorentian 27 million pounds for the player's services. Cuadrado was the main target for the Blues during this transfer window.

Viola coach Vincenzo Montella stated earlier the club made the right move on selling Cuadrado, despite having said he would resign from his job if the wingman left to play with Mourinho's team.

"It was a sale that had to be done, the club has done the right thing because we are also getting a very good player," Montella told the press.

Cuadrado, who penned his deal with the Blues earlier today, left fans a touching message via his social media accounts.

"Florence will always be in my heart.'The people are extraordinary. The fans full of passion. The Viola launched my career and gave me the opportunity to grow also thanks to a great club and exceptional teammates. Now a new journey awaits me. New emotions. New objective. But always with Florence in my heart. Thank you to everyone! Juan," can be read in Cuadrado's Instagram account.

Cuadrado's signing will apparently be the only one for the Blues during the transfer window, having sent Mohamed Salah to Fiorentina as part of the deal for the Colombian wingman.

The former Fiorentina player joins the list of most expensive players ever to play for the Blues.
