The Roma icon scored two second half goals to earn his team a point in the Derby della Capitale clash with Lazio.

At 38 years of age, Francesco Totti is still going pretty strong for Roma.

The evergreen captain made history last year when he scored against Manchester City, making him the oldest ever to net in the Champions League, and while he was unable to prevent the Giallorossi from being dumped out of the group stages, he is still making waves in Serie A.

Earlier today, Roma and Lazio faced off in the Derby della Capitale, one of the most watched games in Italy and around the world for Serie A fans. The Biancocelesti had raced into a 2-0 lead in the first half, with young Brazilian attacker Felipe Anderson grabbing an assist and a goal in just four minutes and Giallorossi fans began to worry if their team would be able to find a way back into the match.

Well, like a true leader, Totti stepped up and delivered, with two great goals in the second half to salvage a draw for Roma and keep them right on the tail of league leaders Juventus.

The Lupi have yet to lose a derby in which Francesco Totti has scored. Yet, what really got calcio followers talking was not just his crazy kung-fu kick Zlatan Ibrahimovic-esque style goal, which in itself was impressive given his advancing years:

And then the fact that he celebrated it in a unique way. By taking a selfie:

Totti's no stranger to interesting celebrations. Here he is in 2004 in another derby and now 11 years later in today's match:

Back to that selfie though...no player in Serie A has done so--let alone in Europe's other major leagues.

Will it spark a trend? Maybe.

Yet, somehow, il Re di Roma (the King of Rome) managed to look actually pretty cool whilst doing it and Roma fans will definitely remember this game for quite some time to come.
