The Derby d'Italia--or Derby of Italy--is always a tense affair due to the intense rivalry between Juventus and Inter.

This has grown even more so in recent years following the Calciopoli scandal that saw Juventus stripped of their Scudetto crown, demoted to Serie B, and Inter being awarded as the 2005/2006 Serie A champions in their place.

Earlier today, the Bianconeri were able to hold on to their unbeaten record at home but were not able to earn three points against the Nerazzurri after Mauro Icardi's goal cancelled out Carlos Tevez's earlier effort.

A draw though, for Roberto Mancini's men, could have been a win, had Icardi and fellow strike partner Dani Osvaldo been more in sync.

Osvaldo, who has played for a slew of Serie A sides including Juventus, Fiorentina, and Roma as well as Southampton still can not avoid controversy wherever he goes.

Clearly enraged with Icardi's selfishness, the Argentinian made his displeasure known to his compatriot in a scene that was quite reminiscent of Cameroon's in-house squabble during their 4-0 loss to Croatia at this summer's World Cup.

Spanish reports also claim that Osvaldo hurled a nasty insult at Icardi...concerning his mother. One does not need too much of an imagination or knowledge of Spanish to have an idea of what he probably said.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's Lukas Podolski made his debut, coming on as a sub. and judging by the confused look on the World Cup winner's face, he looks set to have a very interesting few months in Italy indeed.
