Jamaican-born wingman Raheem Sterling could be making a move to Spanish side Real Madrid. According to sources, Liverpool's gem could be departing to play in La Liga, since Los Blancos would offer 45 million euros for the player's services.
Real Madrid would be interested in signing Sterling since the English player has not extended his contract with Liverpool. With that in mind, Florentino Perez would offer Sterling a substancial increase in his paycheck, giving him 150,000 euros per week if he signs with the Spanish outfit.
The only issue to be solved by Real Madrid and Liverpool could possibly involve captain Steven Gerrard. Given that the historic number 8 revealed he will not remain playing with the Reds next season, the club might not want to get rid of two of their key players in such a short period of time, frustrating Los Merengues' intention of adding Sterling to their payroll.
Another setback that could possibly deny Sterling's possibilities to play for Real Madrid this season is that he played in the UEFA Champions League for the Reds, making him ineligible to play in the upcoming rounds.
