Man United will face Newcastle in their 18th fixture of the 2014-15 Barclays Premier League season at the Old Trafford on the 26th of December. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for Man United vs Newcastle below.

The Red Devils have been in ravishing form as of late, a run which has seen them climb to the third spot in the league table. Man United are unbeaten in their last seven matches, six of which have resulted in wins for Van Gaal's side.

Their six game winning streak was brought to a halt after Aston Villa held them to a 1-1 draw. Benteke opened up the scoring for the home side and the returning Falcao equalized in the second half from an Ashley Young cross.

The goal was the Colombian's second since joining the Red Devils from Monaco in the summer and manager Louis Van Gaal has claimed that Falcao's teammates will have to help him out to ensure that the former Porto man flourishes at his new club.

"Falcao is also dependable on his team-mates," Van Gaal said. "He can be in great form, but the team has to be in great form. That allows Falcao to show his qualities."

"When the cross is not coming from Ashley Young, then he cannot show what he has done in the last match [at Villa]."

Captain Wayne Rooney has been in formidable form as of late and has scored six times this season. The Everton youngster has been deployed in a deeper role this campaign and his manager has praised him for his versatility.

"He is a player who can play in different positions and I'm happy with that because I like multifunctional players."

"I can use him as a midfielder but also as a striker and attacking midfielder. He has the ability to run from box to box."

Newcastle on the other hand after an impressive 2-1 win over Chelsea have lost their subsequent three matches which has seen them slump to ninth position in the league table. They suffered a 1-0 defeat in the Tyne Wear derby last time out as a solitary goal from Adam Johnson gave Sunderland the win.

Chris Smalling might return for Man United but Van Gaal will be without Luke Shaw (ankle) and Marcos Rojo (thigh) in defence. Whereas Marouane Fellaini (illness) and Daley Blind (knee) will also remain on the sidelines.

Newcastle's first choice goalkeepers Tim Krul and Rob Elliot are unlikely to return but playmaker Siem de Jong might feature. Ivory Coast international Cheick Tiote will not be able to make an appearance after he picked up his fifth booking of the season in the match against Sunderland.
