The former Barcelona coach also spoke about Carlos Tevez's return with La Albiceleste after being snubbed for three years by Alejandro Sabella.

Coach Gerardo Martino wants Lionel Messi to engrave his name in Argentina's National Team history, along some  of his team-mates. The former Barcelona manager stated Messi and Co. should be able to win something for La Albiceleste before it's too late.

"This team has always been subject to pressure, even though sometimes the team's quality wasn't worthy of being obliged to win something. Nevertheless, this generation has got every weapon needed to win anything they can. This version of the National team has the right players to become legendary, and they should do so before it's too late," Martino reflected.

Having coached a complicated team like Barcelona, Martino praised Messi's ability to lead this team, and applauded the recent comeback of Carlos Tevez, who was not considered to play in the last World Cup after being snubbed by Alejandro Sabella.

"He's trying to embrace this opportunity. It will be good for us, since I was the one that summoned him up once again. With Tevez's comeback, we will be able to work calmly before there's another player the media want here. He is happy with us, and we are willing to make him work for the benefit of the team," Martino added.

Argentina's first official tournament will be in June, when they start their run to win one more Copa America in Chile.
