The Univision Deportes group of experts will offer coverage on and off the field from host cities

Univision Deportes is the exclusive home of the semifinal phase of the Liga MX 2014 Apertura Tournament offering fútbol fans the most extensive coverage of the games that will determine the best teams. In addition, Univision Deportes will bring an in-depth scope for the grand finale of the 2014 MLS season, the MLS Cup.

The semifinal round of the Liga MX 2014 Apertura Tournament consists of four competitive games, home and away matchups, featuring some of the most popular teams in Mexico.  The games began yesterday, Thursday, and will continue this Sunday. Univision Deportes will offer exclusive LIVE broadcasts of the games from Toluca, Monterrey and Mexico City. One of these four teams will take the championship title.

Continuing with decisive games, on Sunday we will find out who is the MLS Champion taking home the MLS Cup 2014. The game between LA Galaxy and New England Revolution will air LIVE, with coverage starting on Thursday, Dec. 4 from the host city of Los Angeles, California. This is a special “finale” as the match will not only crown the MLS champion, but will also be the last match played by US soccer legend Landon Donovan before retiring from professional soccer.  Additionally, the winning team will qualify for the group phase of the CONCACAF Champions League 2015-2016.

In-depth coverage from on and off the field will be available, and Univision Deportes’ experts, including Pablo “La Torre de Jalisco” Ramírez, Jesús “El Profe” Bracamontes, Enrique “El Perro” Bermúdez, Hristo Stoichkov, Luis Omar Tapia, José Luis López Salido, Jorge Pérez-Navarro, Diego Balado, Félix Fernández and Edgar Martínez, among others, will be the ones who will provide soccer fans the latest details and analysis of each game during the pre- and post- game broadcasts, as well as play-by-play commentary.

Since Sunday, December 7 is a crucial day for Liga MX and MLS fútbol fans, Univision Deportes will offer an uninterrupted 13-hour broadcast from Los Angeles, Miami and Mexico. Fans will be able to enjoy the games and pre- and post-game programming on UDN (Univision Deportes Network) and UniMás. The Univision Network joins this fútbol Sunday with “República Deportiva” at 11:00 a.m. ET/PT, live from StubHub Center in Los Angeles, CA, which will be simulcast on UDN.
