For a second consecutive summer transfer window, the Red Devils plan on spending BIG, with Marco Reus high up their wish list, in a bid to re-establish themselves as a dominant force in Europe.

English Premier League giants Manchester United are gearing up for a whopping £150m spending spree when the summer transfer window opens.

No, we have not traveled back in time, nor is this a republished story from last summer. The Red Devils truly are plotting another summer of huge business for the second consecutive year, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

According to the English publication, Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal has already identified key targets, with chief executive Ed Woodward laying the ground work for deals with the Old Trafford side.

Manchester United, who are currently placed fourth in the standing, are confident of making next season's Champions League, and are planning “a summer of big ins and outs”, as stated in the report.

Despite already splashing cash on Ander Herrera, Radamel Falcao (loan deal), and record British signing Angel Di Maria, Van Gaal is still eying an array of attacking talents, with Borussia Dormtund's Marco Reus leading the pack.

The German star, who has a €25 release clause embedded in his contract at Signal Iduna Park, is however heavily tipped with a move to the Allianz Arena to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Reus' team-mate and fellow die Mannschaft international Mats Hummels is also a target for Louis Van Gaal in a bid to solidify the Manchester side's shaky defense, with Atletico Madrid center-back Diego Godin and Southampton right-back also being earmarked.

A bid for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman, a long-term target of the Dutch tactician, is predicted, with a move for a world-class striker also on the table. This, however, will have to wait until Van Gaal makes a decision on whether to extend Radamel Falcao's season-long stay at the Theatre of Dreams, a deal which will cost the 20-time champions £42.5m.
