The Gunners striker has not featured for the north London side since late August, but could make his return to the pitch when Arsenal play hosts to the Red Devils.

Three months after succumbing to a leg injury in the 2-2 draw with Everton back in August 24, Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is back and could feature in the north London side's clash with Manchester United, revealed Wenger.

The French forward, who suffered a fracture to his left tibia in the trip to Goodison Park, is available for Saturday's encounter, alongside club captain Mikel Arteta, as the Gunners gear up to host the Red Devils when the English Premier League resumes this weekend.

“Giroud and Arteta are both available. It's just a question of how ready they are. But they are available,” Wenger said, as quoted by the club's official website.

Initially expected to be out until the new year, Le Prof admitted the former Montpellier ace has returned to the squad a month ahead of schedule.

“He is three or four weeks ahead of schedule. Originally we planned to have him back for competition at the beginning of next year. So he's one month ahead.”

Wenger, who is currently without defensive duo Laurent Koscielny and Mathieu Debuchy, claims the French defensive pair are progressing well on their road to recovery, whilst revealing Mesut Ozil will not be back in action until 2015.

“Koscielny and Debuchy are doing well, they are out on the field [working] again. We have to see now. Usually field work is three weeks away from full group training. Then there is fitness. It looks straightforward for Debuchy. It's not inflammation, it's just repairing surgery. For Koscielny, it depends how well he responds to training. At the moment he looks good.”

“Ozil is doing well but he will not be ready before the start of 2015.”
