The German midfielder was rumored to be willing to change leagues in the upcoming transfer window, with such teams as Bayern, Arsenal and Chelsea looking to sign him.

Sami Khedira dismissed rumors that placed him in almost every top team in the upcoming transfer window. The German midfielder stated he is happy living in Madrid and has no intention whasoever of leaving the current European champion.

"Right now, I don't see any reason why I would want to leave. Real Madrid is a great club which I love, and there's no reason to think I want to leave. This is the best squad I've had the privilege of being in, and I've talked to my agent to extend my contract with the club," Khedira explained.

Regarding his most recent injury, Khedira ellaborated on why he decided to take some time off, even though his problem was not too serious.

"Last week, I felt something was not right with one of my leg's muscles, so I did not want to risk anything. I was just recovering from another injury, and I want my coach and my teammates to know they can count on me, so I decided to rest for a while to prevent anything, and next week I'll be back playing with the team. I feel fit to be a part of the squad, and it's just a matter of time before I fight for a starting spot," the midfielder added.

Khedira has been called up to play against Granada during this weekend's Euro Qualifiers, and will also be available for next week's friendly against Spain.
