The Black Stars enter their penultimate AFCON 2015 group stage qualifier as leaders of their table. With 8 points, they seat above Emmanuel Adebayor’s Togo and upcoming opponents Uganda. Interestingly, the latter have big reasons to be confident ahead of Saturday’s match.

Fans must recall that the Cranes were inches away from taking maximum points away from the Black Stars, in Kumasi. It took a controversial penalty which Andrew Ayew successfully converted, for the hosts to make it 1-1 and share points.

On Matchday 5, the Ugandans will have a chance for revenge and they will want to use their home advantage to achieve more than what they surprisingly managed away. They have been boosted by the absence of Ghana’s prolific goalscorer Asamoah Gyan and influential Juventus-based midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah.

So how will the Black Stars’ interim manager, Maxwell Konadu, organize his team? The visitors need a win to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. They will end their campaign on November 19 with a clash against the Togolese at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
