During his time as Manchester United boss, David Moyes was ridiculed, ripped into and smeared by Internet trolls and memes, Twitter being the biggest culprit of them all.
After a disastrous 10-month spell in charge at Old Trafford, he was unable to guide the Red Devils to the heights that the club's supporters became accustomed to during Sir Alex Ferguson's reign, and on April 22, was sacked by the 20-time English Premier League champions.
So it may come as great news to many to hear that the former Everton manager is back in the coaching scene, this time in Spain, however.
The 51-year-old coach was named manager of La Liga side Real Sociedad, putting pen to paper on an 18-month contract with the Basque club, which runs until June 2016.
Sociedad announced the news late on Monday, saying in a statement: "Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with David Moyes."
"Details about the official presentation of Real Sociedad's new coach and who will form part of his technical team will be published tomorrow [Tuesday] morning."

Good luck to Moyes at Real Sociedad. Not an easy job, but a chance to show he's a far better manager than the #mufc experience made him look

Happy for David Moyes. Best thing to do was come back to management in a foreign country. Leave the Premier league for a while.

Moyes was unjustifiably lambasted when in charge of Manchester United as I've explored in detail. Good acquisition by Real Sociedad. #MUFC

Moyes takes over from former boss Jagoba Arrasate, who was let go by Real Sociedad after a string of disappointing results, which has seen them fall to 15th place in the table.
Moyes, the fourth British manager to coach the Basque club, will take over the helm for their clash with Deportivo La Corona on 22 Novermber.
