Pippo Inzaghi's troops look to build some momentum as they face off against Hellas Verona on the road on Sunday, October 19th. Find out where to catch the game online or on TV here.

Milan's season thus far under Pippo Inzaghi has been nothing short of interesting to follow for legions of Rossoneri fans worldwide. After the disaster last campaign that sees them miss out on European football, there were little expectations left when the legendary striker took over after his former teammate, Clarence Seedorf was sacked after just half a season on the bench.

Players like Keisuke Honda, who struggled after his arrival earlier this year, appear to have found their footing with the new coach, while former PSG and Roma man Jeremy Menez is another that seems to be finally enjoying his football again. Indeed, the Japanese and French internationals have combined for over 50% of the team's 13 goals--with four and three respectively--that see Inzaghi's troops with the joint-highest scoring side in the league, tied with league leaders Juventus.

Milan will head into this match level on points with Verona, who surprised many with their great performance last season. Not many had expected the team, which were making their first appearance in calcio's upper echelon after a 11 season hiatus, to manage a second year, but a decent 10th-placed finish sees them still mixing it up this season.

With players like the evergreen 2006 World Cup winner Luca Toni still going strong as well as a whole crop of hungry youngsters eager to prove themselves, Andrea Mandorlini's men will definitely not be feeling like underdogs as they welcome a Diavolo side still not fully steady on its feet.

To that end, the hosts will note that despite Milan's blazing attack, they are nothing short of shoddy at the back. Nine goals already conceded is by far the worst among the teams currently in the top 5 and Verona themselves are only behind them in sixth place because their opponents' high performing offense has done enough to offset the suspect showings of their defensive colleagues.

Just like last season, the Rososneri have looked shaky when defending from set-pieces and corners, and Serie A as well as even some Bundesliga fans will be aware of the aerial threat posed by Verona's tall striker Toni if he's given space.

Encouraging though will be the return of new 'keeper Diego Lopez, who was brought in this summer from Real Madrid and had started off fairly well before succumbing to an injury that saw him out of commission for a bit. With both sides keen to avoid a loss--each have just one thus far--it should be hopefully an interesting one to watch for both teams' fans.
