“The support has been amazing. We want to thank the fans who have come here in their numbers to greet and welcomes us,” the former Sunderland striker told the press on Monday.
“We are happy with what we have seen here. We know that victory and good performance is what they want on Wednesday and we will give them exactly that.”
In Morocco last week, the Black Stars succumbed to a 1-1 draw against Guinea. Gyan opened the scoring after 27 minutes but Ibrahima Traore stunned Maxwell Konadu's defence with an outrageous volley.
Still, the Ghanaians enter Matchday 4 of the 2015 AFCON qualifiers as leaders of their group. They possess five points ahead of Uganda and Guinea who both have four. Emmanuel Adebayor’s Togo are last with three points.
