Reports from England claim that the star is becoming unsettled with his situation in London.

Considering that the usually fiscally conservative Arsene Wenger splashed out £42.5 million on him just a year ago, this is not something that will amuse Arsenal fans.

Record-breaking signing Mesut Ozil, who joined in 2013 from Real Madrid to much fanfare, is apparently unsettled in his sophomore season with the Premier League giants and wants to depart, less than two years after arriving in the English capital.

Frustration: Ozil, who is Arsenal's most expensive signing has apparently grown unhappy with life in London

According to reports from England, Bayern Munich have been associated with making a move for him as early as January, with die Roten prepared to shell out £30 million to bring the German international back to his homeland.

However, with Ozil set to miss out the rest of this year with an injury, it seems highly unlikely that Pep Guardiola's men would be willing to fork over that kind of money on the 2014 World Cup winner until he has fully made a 100% recovery, at least not in January. Hence, a summer move, if anything is to materialize, is more likely.

Ozil has been subject to quite a bit of criticism as of late due to his showings for Arsene Wenger's side from all angles ranging from retired Premier League legends to even his own countrymen with many believing that the 25-year-old has not been performing to a level corresponding with his hefty price tag.
