The Real Madrid star was seen nursing his left knee after being taken off the pitch in the friendly at the Stade de France

Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo was involved in an injury scare after the player was seen with bandage and an ice pack on his left knee during his nation's 2-1 loss to France.

Playing at Stade de France, the Real Madrid ace experienced a frustrating night in which he registered no shots on goal, before being removed off the pitch in the 76th minute.

Known for his fitness and speed, injury got the best of the 29-year-old Los Blancos attacker towards the end of last season, limiting his role in the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil, and has kept the former Manchester United ace on the sidelines in some fixtures this season.

Struggling with a reoccurring knee injruy, Selecção das Quinas and Les Merengues fans will be hoping Ronaldo did not receive any long-term damage that will rule him out for a lengthy period.

Benzema opened the scoring for his national side after only three minutes of play, before Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba doubled the home side's lead in the 69th minute, with Ricardo Quaresma pulling one back for Portugal eight minutes later from a penalty kick, which led to these Internet trolls.
