After the player’s statement questioning the club’s last transfers, Real Madrid’s president stated there’s great chemistry between him and the Portuguese striker.

While presenting last year’s results to the Governing Board of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez dismissed any criticism by Cristiano Ronaldo, after the player questioned the club’s policy on this years’ transfers.

“There is no disagreement with Cristiano Ronaldo. I know him very well, and I’m sure he is loyal to this club. Cristiano is the best player in the world and he is absolutely happy with us. If he was at some point mad at me, he wouldn’t have given me a replica of his Golden Ball,” Perez assured.

Regarding Angel Di Maria’s transfer, Perez stated there will always be criticism surrounding Madrid’s transfers, letting know that the player was offered a better contract, but he refused to sign:

“There’s always been discussion about our transfers. Ever since Zidane and up until Gareth Bale joined. Di Maria asked for the same amount of money as Cristiano Ronaldo, and we can’t afford that to happen. If we had agreed on that, the club would have been jeopardized,” Perez added.
