The former Manchester United coach at one point preferred Hernandez over strikers like Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen

During the UEFA Coach Forum, the event's ambassador, Sir Alex Ferguson, spoke to Carlo Ancelotti about Real Madrid's new signing, Mexican striker Javier Hernandez.

According to sources, Ferguson had supporting words for his former pupil, since he was responsible for Hernandez's arrival to the Red Devils, back in 2010. Ferguson blessed his former player, given his arrival to Real Madrid has been criticized by media and Real Madrid fans.

"He is going to do a fine job playing for Real Madrid. He'll score a lot of goals, that's for sure. He is a well-centered fellow, he's got his feet on the ground, and he always wanted to play for Real Madrid. This change is going to be good for him," Ferguson said.

Ferguson coached Hernandez for three years. During that stint, "Chicharito" managed to score 20 goals in his first season, twelve for the second, and in their final year together, Hernandez netted the ball 18 times. Ferguson had Hernandez playing on a regular basis over other strikers such as Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen, who recently mocked Hernandez's antics on the pitch.
