The USMNT looks to start a new era following a dramatic campaign in Brazil 2014 while the Czech Republic faces this game as their last preparation chance ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

With a squad full of youngsters, the USMNT will play their first competitive match after a breathtaking campaign in this year’s World Cup in Brazil, which saw the Americans getting knocked out in the Round of 16 by Belgium in extra time.

In the aim of rejuvenating the squad and develop a solid team for the future, Jurgen Klinsmann named a roster full of youngster for this match, including six players that haven’t seen action with the national team yet. Only 10 players that featured in the World Cup were called up for this game leaving out established players like Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley and Jermaine Jones as Klinsmann is looking to see the young players in action.

Regarding this, the USMNT head coach commented:

“When you start a new cycle, you want to see as many new players, young players, breaking into the cycle as possible.

"Obviously you always respect your established players and you will always give them the space to continue their good work, but also you want to use that opportunity going forward to introduce young blood into the program and give them time on the training field, and in the real games and prove a point.

"Show us what you have. Show us your talent and be confident and go for your next level. This is what comes up now in the next couple of games, it’s about young players coming in and hopefully doing well."

On the other hand, the Czechs, managed by Pavel Vrba, will be taking this match seriously as it will be the final test before they begin their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign next Tuesday when they host the Netherlands also in Prague.

English Premier League players Petr Cech and Tomas Rosicky stand out as the main men of Czech Republic’s team. The rest of the squad is made up of players from the Gambrinus Liga; Czech Republic’s top division.
