Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he has no intentions of selling his 27-year-old German midfielder

London duo Arsenal and Chelsea, alongside Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich have been dealt a blow in the transfer market, as German midfielder Sami Khedira looks set for a Real Madrid stay.

The 27-year-old World Cup winner was heavily tipped with a Santiago Bernabeu exit througout the summer transfer window due to the arrival of die Mannschaft team-mate Toni Kroos. And with Khedira's exclusion from Los Blancos' UEFA and Spanish Super Cup ties against Sevilla and Atetico Madrid respectively, a departure looked all but guaranteed.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be an admirer of the former Stuttgart man, and is keen on adding him to the Arsenal ranks in an attempt to add physicality to their creative midfield talents. And with Khedira only having one year left in his contract with Real Madrid, Les Merengues could lose the midfielder to another club for free come next season.

However, according to Spanish outlet MARCA, Khedira's future lies with the 10-time Champions League winners, claiming Ancelotti has "assured that he will be 100% counting on the German throughout the season".

"Khedira is happy here and he is staying," the former AC Milan boss told reporters. "The matter is resolved & he stays at Real Madrid."

The same though cannot be said for Les Merengues ace, 26-year-old Argentine Angel Di Maria, who has already bid farewell to his Los Blancos mates ahead of his Manchester United move.

With Di Maria's Red Devils switch close, Brazilian full back and Real Madrid team-mate Marcelo posted a touching goodbye message to the former Benfica man, tweeting: "Take a bow, Fideíto. Thanks for everything you've done for Real. You're the best, brother, I love you"
