Las Aguilas have one more foreign player slot vacant, they will decide by Tuesday if they fill that spot.

After the departure of Mexican striker Raul Jimenez, America is still reviewing the possibility of bringing in another player to fill that position, but surprisingly, if someone arrives, they will play elsewhere on the pitch.

“I’ve got a lot of confidence in my front line. If we do get someone, he will surely be an attacking midfielder or a wingman. By Tuesday we may have made a decision on that matter, but if we can’t get a player that really makes a difference, we will stick with what we’ve got,” the coach explained in his weekly press conference.

Mohamed is not worried about the possible impact Jimenez’s absence will have on the team, because he rehearsed several formations in case he left the club. “We’ll see how we can adapt to the circumstance. I fully trust Luis Gabriel Rey and Martin Zuñiga. If they are called up, they will do a fine job,” continued the Argentinian.

For this Saturday’s game against Morelia, America will enjoy the return of Rubens Sambueza and Paul Aguilar, key wingmen in coach Mohamed’s formation. Also, Paolo Goltz will come back to lead the defense, after missing last game due to a red card against Puebla.

America meet Morelia on Matchday 5 of the Apertura 2014 tournament. Mohamed’s men get to this game leading the pack, while Morelia hasn't scored a goal in four matches.
