The Reds are now apparently looking at the Serie A attacker, according to reports.

With the funds gained after the massive sale of Luis Suarez, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been quite busy using them to rebuild his squad.

So far, the Premier League runners up have secured seven new signings, but the Reds boss is keen on bringing in some more attacking reinforcements so as to ease the burden on Daniel Sturridge.

The English international--known by some as one half of the highly prolific SAS duo with the Uruguayan-- finished as the league's 2nd top scorer with 21 goals and enjoyed the best season ever of his young career to date.

Nonetheless, with the team making a return to the Champions League Rodgers will obviously like to reduce the burden on him as they now will be featuring in more games this season.

Following the collapse of Loic Remy's transfer, Liverpool have been linked with PSG's Ezequiel Lavezzi and now apparently are also looking at another Argentinian attacker as another option.

As per reports in England, Inter's young striker, Mauro Icardi as emerged as another possible candidate, with nine goals in 20+ appearances for the Nerazzurri.

With the new season just around the corner, Liverpool are running out of time to add another striker, and are apparently preparing to offer £16 million for him, but Inter are expecting much more than that--to the tune of £28 million.
