According to Spanish reports, the Blaugrana are considering the Bayern Munich defender as an option this summer.

Only a handful of football players can say that they have won two of the sport's most coveted prizes--the World Cup and the Champions League.

Even fewer can claim to have done so within the span of just a couple of years, but thanks to Germany's 1-0 win over Argentina in this year's final, there are quite a few still currently playing that come to mind.

For Bayern Munich's die Mannschaft contingent, this includes Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm, and Jerome Boateng, with this quintet all being part of the 2012-2013 season that saw die Roten become the first German side to achieve the Treble.

With the summer transfer market in full swing, many players, thanks to their good World Cup showings have been linked with other clubs, and Boateng is reportedly on Barcelona's radar. The Blaugrana, who were humiliated 7-0 two seasons ago at the hands of die Roten have been on the hunt for a solid defender as they hope to modify things after a disappointing time last season.

As per Spanish publication Marcathe Catalan giants have earmarked the 25-year-old as a good option to bolster their central defense. Priced at €39 million, Boateng’s name has come up as an option after being unsuccessful in their pursuit of PSG’s Thiago Silva—who was linked with a move to Camp Nou two seasons ago before Milan opted to sell him instead to Les Parisiens.
