La Liga champions Atletico Madrid look to rebuild their squad after losing key players in this transfer window, and have earmarked two Arsenal Spaniards as ideal signings

La Liga champions Atletico Madrid look set for a double raid on London side Arsenal as Los Rojiblancos prepare a move for Spanish duo Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal.

The Liga BBVA giants have seen their squad seriously depleted in this summer's transfer window, losing Thibaut Courtois, Filipe Luis, and Diego Costa to English Premier League club Chelsea.

Last year's Champions League runners-up have secured the signing of Croatian hitman Mario Mandzukic, but still look to rebuild their squad before defending their title when the 2014-15 season kicks off.

Atletico Madrid have added Arsenal Spaniards Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal to their summer transfer wishlist

Gunners left-back Nacho Monreal moved to the Emirates back in January, 2013 for £8m and was welcomed by the fans, but has now found his playing time hard to come by as English defender Kieran Gibbs remains Wenger's first-choice.

Cazorla, on the other hand, a player who grasped the hearts of the Arsenal fans ever since his move from Malaga, constantly found himself pushed out wide last season in an attemtp to accommodate German playmaker Mesut Ozil, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid.

Accompanied by Le Prof's capture of Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, Cazorla may too find himself shunned to the bench for the majority of the season.
