The Reds kick off their pre-season preparations with a friendly clash versus Danish side Brondby.

Liverpool will start off their 2014-2015 campaign with a summer pre-season friendly against Danish side Brondby. This will represent the first visit for the Reds to the Scandinavian nation since the late 1990's and represent a good chance for some of the younger and new players to have the opportunity to prove themselves to Brendan Rodgers ahead of their much-anticipated US summer tour.

Still, despite the absence of some of their more experienced and well-known players, the Reds are viewed by some as the favorites heading into the clash against a side that finished fourth in the Danish Super League last season.  They, of course, will be without talismanic attacker Luis Suarez, as the Uruguayan was recently sold for a club-record deal to Barcelona and as a result, this will also increase expectations on the other personnel but also give them a chance to cement their places ahead of the upcoming domestic and continental campaigns.

Brondby fans will certainly be keen on seeing Liverpool's Daniel Agger, who is likely to skipper the side upon his return to his boyhood club where he played before signing with the Premier League giants back in 2006. New signing Emre Can, snubbed Brazilian national Philippe Coutinho, and Italian attacker Fabio Borini are all others who are likely to earn a spot in the starting XI before departing for the International Champions Cup in the States the following week.
