Univision Adds More Former Fútbol Stars to its Unique Coverage of World Cup 2014 Quarter Finals

The quarter finals stage starts on Friday, July 4th; LIVE matches will air on Univision and Univision Deportes Networks

WHAT: As we get closer to the final rounds of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, Univision Deportes keeps bringing fútbol fans unique and extensive coverage of World Cup quarter finals adding more former star players to their exceptional on-air lineup.

Renowned Argentinean former player Javier Zanetti, who played during 1998 and 2002 World Cups,as well as in the FIFA Confederations Cup and Copa América tournaments,joins Univision Deportes team of special guest commentators for the quarter finals round along with former stars Mauro Camoranesi, Argentinean of Italian descent who was on the Italian National Team that took home the 2006 World Cup trophy; Pável Pardo, former Mexican soccer star who played with Mexico’s National team in World Cup 1998 and 2006; Marcelo Balboa, member of the U.S. National Team who played in the 1990 and 1994 World Cups; Ramon Ramírez, retired player and Mexico’s National Team veteran of two World Cups, 1994 and 1998; and Univision Deportes’ Hristo Stoichkov, who was on the Bulgarian National Team in the 1994 World Cup, finishing in fourth place and receiving the Balon d’Or that same year.

In addition, Univision Deportes’ team of experts, including Pablo “La Torre de Jalisco” Ramírez, Jesús “El Profe” Bracamontes, Enrique “El Perro” Bermúdez, Luis Omar Tapia, Félix Fernández, Jorge Pérez-Navarro, Diego Balado, Edgar Martínez and José Luis López Salido, will add their fútbol expertise to the play-by-play along with their special guests’ analysis and color commentary.

All quarter finals matches, as well as the pre and post-game shows, will air LIVE from Brazil on Univision and Univision Deportes Networks. The quarter finals round starts on Friday, July 4th.
