South American nation Colombia took on Uruguay in a 2014 World Cup round of 16 match on Saturday.
Los Cafeteros aimed at making the quarter-finals in football’s greatest tournament for the first time in their history, and did so as Jose Pekerman led his men to a 2-0 triumph over La Celeste.
A brace from 22-year-old superstar James Rodriguez helped book an encounter with host nation Brazil in the next round.
The Monaco ace’s opening goal, though, is what stole the show as wonderful, unstoppable left-footed strike left Uruguay’s goalkeeper Fernando Muslera helpless.
The 28th minute goal, considered by many to be one of the best of the tournament so far, gave the 2001 Copa America champions a first half lead, taking Rodriguez level with Messi, Neymar, and Muller in the Golden Boot chase, before passing them as top scorer with his second of the night, in the 50th minute.

And with Chile coming close to defeating the Selecao, Colombia might favour their chances of overcoming Brazil in order to make the World Cup semis.
